The I Jornadas de Innovación en Lengua, Empleabilidad e Inteligencia Artificial (InnovaLingua-EIA), held at the University of Valencia on 12–13 November 2025, brought together academics, professionals, and industry specialists to explore the intersections between language studies, employability, and artificial intelligence from an applied and practice-oriented perspective. The event was organized by the InnovaLingua-EIA Innovation Group and hosted by the Faculty of Philology, Translation and Communication. 

The programme featured keynote lectures, professional talks, seminars, and round tables delivered by scholars and practitioners from Spanish and international institutions, including universities, public services, European institutions, publishing houses, and major technology companies. Contributions addressed a wide range of topics such as translation and interpreting in public services, forensic linguistics, editorial and institutional career pathways, language technologies, artificial intelligence in language education, automatic translation, AI-assisted writing, pronunciation training, and the impact of AI on professional profiles in linguistics and translation.

A strong emphasis was placed on employability, professional development, and real-world applications, showcasing how linguistic expertise can be successfully transferred to sectors such as education, public administration, European institutions, digital publishing, and the tech industry. The Jornadas also fostered dialogue between academia and professional practice, highlighting emerging career opportunities and the transformative role of AI in language-related fields.

Overall, InnovaLingua-EIA 2025 consolidated itself as a dynamic forum for innovation, offering students, researchers, and professionals valuable insights into how language, technology, and employability intersect in contemporary academic and professional landscapes.
